I am currently working with an engineering company in Basildon who require an additional CNC Programmer/Setter.
The role:
In this varied role you will be responsible for carrying out the programming and setting up a range of Hurco machinery. The work will include:
- Proving out program files, operating controls, setting offsets and editing programs
- Inspecting and deburring parts for conformance
- Periodically operating machines
- Completing setting sheets
- Measuring and marking dimensions and reference points on work pieces
- Adjusting offsets to keep parts in tolerance
- Operating lifting devices
The CNC Programmer/Setter we are looking for will have:
- Experience in a similar manufacturing role
- Understanding of drawings and manual check inspection requirements
- Understanding of ERP systems to raise purchase orders, check stock and run reporting
- Understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliability
- The ability to work proactively and effectively as part of a team
- The ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A current clean driving licence
The company are offering:
- Monday to Friday 07:30 – 16:30 with a half day finish on a Friday
