Injection Moulding Machine Setter/Operator

I am currently working with a Basildon engineering company who require an additional Injection Moulding Setter/Operator to work a permanent nightshift Monday to Thursday 7:30 pm – 6:00 am.

The role:

In this varied role you will be responsible for carrying out the setting up of tooling and for the moulding of high value plastic components using a variety of machinery. The work will include:

• Setting machine controls
• Regulating moulding temperature, volume of plastic, pressure and time
• Trimming excess plastic
• Identifying reject material and regrinding
• Carrying out quality control
• Packing finished product
• Carrying out maintenance to production tools and machines

The candidate we are looking for will have:

• Experience in a plastic moulding manufacturing environment
• Experience in the setting of injection moulding machines
• Ability to operate forklift to move tools to and from the moulding area
• Very reliable and able to manage own workload
• Good communication skills
